My Story

Amber is Co-Director of Teacher Training at Living Yoga Kansas Teacher Trainings and is a certified ShambhavAnanda yoga and meditation teacher. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in March 2014, and meditation teacher training in May 2014 at Yoga For You with Susan Levine; 300 hour certificate completion in December 2020 Shambhavananda Yoga Center - Konalani. She has been a practitioner of yoga since 2009. Amber believes wholeheartedly in the yogic concept of SEVA, or selfless service. Any wisdom or knowledge attained through the practices of yoga must be shared with others. Her own adverse childhood experiences  set her on a lifelong path of healing and transformation. "I'm so grateful for the many people and professionals who have been put in my path as teachers. Every one of them changed the trajectory of my life for the better. It is my sincerest wish to continue to grow, and help others with the same wish to grow." Amber strives to teach from her own lived experiences, and believes that "yoga is embodied education" (Neil Pearson).

Amber combines her knowledge as a massage therapist and yoga/meditation teacher to offer yoga as therapy for her students. She has experience working with students and clients living with chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, grief, recovery from substance use, osteoporosis and osteopenia, osteoarthritis, knee and hip pain/surgeries, headaches, migraines, neck pain, childhood trauma/adverse experience, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, burnout and compassion fatigue.
